Hi All
Please could you pass on to anyone who may be interested, ideal for an emerging artist though anyone can apply.  At the moment it will probably be separate from the Creative Pathways bursary scheme.
Many Thanks

Opportunity to make and show work at Somerset Art Weeks – please circulate
A school SAW is working with in Bruton has an interesting outdoor area with some amazing trees, see attached picture.  They are interested in hosting an artist for Somerset Art Weeks 2014 to make and show some outdoor work and lead a couple of sessions with students, this may be a selected group of students helping the artist make the work, or dedicated workshop(s).
There isn’t a fee for the work at present though we are hoping to raise funds for materials.  What it would offer an artist is the opportunity to create and showcase some outdoor work for Somerset Art Weeks and gain some experience of participatory work with schools.  SAW can provide a DBS/CRB check and can offer help in organisation.  Hopefully there will be a good cluster of venues at Bruton, and with Hauser & Wirth just down the road we anticipate good visitor numbers.
The school will pay for Art Weeks registration and Guide entry (45,000 guides printed).
Please pass this info around to anyone you think may be interested.
In the first instance please contact Beccy Swaine at SAW by email, as below.
Best Wishes
