Besides the various stunning little ‘rooms ‘ of different gardens\, there is a possibility to find  sheep in the paddock and a strong chance that the gorgeous white Wisteria will be in flower. Shelagh will be your host and will provide coffee etc. but bring lunch and usual materials.

DESCRIPTION:  \nSaturday 23rd & 24th May 2026.  10am – 4pm.  £80 + £5 for materials\nTutor: Fiona McIntyre\nHadspen Village Hall\, Lime Kiln Lane\, Hadspen\, Castle Cary\, BA7 7LW\nJoin us for this two day course where Fiona will cover the making of plant material into natural inks\, and earth pigments into watercolour paint. Over the two days\, you will learn about the alchemy and variety of mordants which enhance and transform natural ink material into a range of different hues and colours. You will use plants – utilised for centuries to extract dye for fabrics and to make inks for painting with. \nMaterials provided. \nFiona will be publishing a book this year called ‘Sacred Earth’ which some of us have helped to fund.
