Tutor: Amanda Bee

Amanda trained at Lincoln College of Art and later completed a Degree in Fine Art and Social Context at UWE Bristol. After graduating, she moved to the South West and has settled in Frome where she has a studio and where she teaches. 

She is one of the organisers of the ‘Silk Mill Collective’ representing the artists and makers of the Silk Mill in Frome and is currently an area REP for Somerset Art Works. She has exhibited extensively in Somerset and Wiltshire and has work in private collections throughout the UK, Europe and America.

Amanda has recently spent time on a new project exploring the qualities of earth pigments and their origins which she will be sharing with us. “We will use the pigments either as watercolour or acrylic, depending on your own preference of medium.”
