27th October – 12th November, Friday to Sunday

Hatch artists’ collective, based in a secret location in Langport, are getting ready to entertain, challenge and inspire with another exciting exhibition, this time exploring Death and Microwaves.

The Hatch collective has produced a whole host of exhibitions, events and escapades. Offering people the opportunity to experience art in a new way – with site specific installations, painting, sculpture, film, sound and kinetic works on a grand scale.

Hatch’s next exhibition ‘Death and Microwaves’ will be held at the secret barn in Langport over three long weekends, Friday to Sunday, from 27th October to 12th November. Entry is free, but donations to cover the cost of utilities and materials are encouraged. Lynn Baxter is one of 12 women artists invited to respond to one of the 12 elements of nature for this show, the moon being the focus of Lynn’s contribution. The image shown here is Sentinel, in brushed steel with a powder-coated mild steel base. This substantial work shares the properties of the moon’s solid iron-rich core. Her other works are in stoneware and explore the surface of the moon, its craters, lava and colouration.
