Mark Pender

Mark Pender
Originally from Bath, Mark recently moved back to the West Country, after over thirty years working in London so he is a new member of Bruton Art Society for this year. Having retired from his “day job”, he is now pursuing a second career with his art.

Mark has been painting for many years and has exhibited with several societies and on his own through Cambridge and Saffron Walden open studios. His work has found its way as far afield as Australia, Canada, France, South Africa and Letchworth.

Mark paints mainly in oils but sometimes in acrylic or other media, as can be seen from his work on this site. Some of his work is whimsical or humorous, often based on fairy tales or fables. He is very happy to take (interesting) commissions and recently has produced illustrations for a child’s book and portraits in oil of a friend’s five horses. Please have a look at his website at
