Fen D’Lucie – Sculptor

Fen undertook Art History & Drawing at college in Somerset. On leaving college her art was put on hold for many years whilst working for employers in unrelated streams.  In the early 2000’s she returned to art for her own pleasure.  In 2016 Fen took early retirement allowing time to diversify from 2D into sculpture, learning from a range of styles & teachers: clay sculpture courses in Somerset & Devon with further courses on wax modelling in Dorset, where she now lives.

Inspiration is never too far away from the living world.  Her sculptures, both representational and abstract, are cast in Bronze.

Fen displays her work in exhibitions at Dorset Art Weeks and Purbeck Art Weeks, in addition to regional Open and Society exhibitions.  Her work has received the following awards:  Ilminster Annual Open Exhibition – Overall winner 2021 and Sculpture award 2023.  Bruton Art Society Annual Exhibition – Sculpture award 2021 and ‘Runner up’ Joy Barnes award 2023.  Fen was also delighted to have been one of the selected finalists at Art Unlimited Bridport Open exhibition 2022 & 2023.
